About the event
The Cogstet is an experimental, jazz-rooted ensemble led by Chicago-based bassist, composer, educator, and vinyl DJ Matthew “Cogs” Coglianese. Centered on collective improvisation, unique compositions and the individual voice, the music unfolds in real time—balancing groove, open form, and deep listening as structure gives way to discovery.
This iteration of the group features Matt on upright bass and effects, Preyas Roy on vibraphone, Ryan Bills on Saxophone and Nadav Simon on drums and percussion.
