About the event
Chicago-based vocalist Shara Maxwell performs original songs, blues, and jazz. Her interpretations respect, feel, and use unique phrasing while being true to the melody. Shara has opened for renowned guitarist Stanley Jordan and featured on WDCB's vocal jazz spotlight. Her EP Perfect Fit has received local and national air time and she is currently working on a new album for 2025 release.
Collectively her musicians have played locally and nationally in different ensembles in iconic venues, such as Jazz Showcase, Andy's, Ftizgerald's, Fulton Street Collective, DuSable Museum, House of Blues, Jazz Estate, Milwaukee Jazz Festival, Chicago Jazz Festival, Detroit Jazz Festival and many more.
