About the event
Chicago’s Rhizal is a groove-centered indie jazz quintet with a distinctive sonic architecture. The group features Paul Roots on drums, Mike Niebling on tabla, Tim Seisser on bass, Olya Prohorova on violin, and Yaron Goldman on saxophone. Rhizal plays an all-original repertoire that explores modal melodies, odd time signatures and searing improvisations.
