Jared Hurn Jazz Collective

Jared Hurn is a versatile percussionist, drummer, and composer. He moved to DeKalb, IL in 2024 from Wichita, KS, to pursue a Master's Degree in Jazz Performance - Drum Set. Jared has taught/is teaching privately at Damm Music Center, Ellman's Center, The Music Connection, and NIU's Community School of the Arts. He was involved with bands such as Trick Worm, Happy No Lucky, and Daydream. Jared has also taught at Camp Allegro Wichita, and helped with Chicago Jazz Philharmonic's Summer Jazz Academy and NIU's Percussion Camp. He has also played drums for various churches in Wichita as well as in DeKalb.

The Collective brings a combination of standards and originals that has a unique sound.
