Jameel Stephens Trio

A Southside Chicago native, began playing drums at the age of 2, first

using pots, pans, and spoons as a makeshift kit. By 5, he was playing in

church, learning by ear from watching older musicians. Though he was

more passionate about sports growing up, music was always present

whether at pep rallies or in school bands.
