Our story
The namesake
Pianist, composer, and certified child prodigy. Clara made her debut at nine and was named Imperial Court Virtuosa at eighteen, the first woman to hold the title. She published 23 works, raised seven kids, and kept the whole household running on music.
A bar built for new artists, named after a woman who never stopped playing? It felt right.

The why
Feels like a living room, comfortably come as you are. Our team has grown into a family that is thrilled to welcome you & yours.
Most of our live music is free. Artists are paid directly from bar sales, and performer tips go straight to the band.
Queer and woman-owned. A safe space, and everyone's welcome.
